Hello everyone green tea here and today I have some mangas to recommended just a few I’ve been reading instead of doing work but anyways let’s get started.

At number 5 we have some heat with the manga Kaiju No. 8. also known in English as Monster #8, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto. It has been serialized for free on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ application and website since July 2020. It was also announced to have an anime adaptation as well which I’m really excited about but the main premise of the manga is in Japan, monsters known as kaiju regularly attack the populace with the Japanese Defense Force tasked with killing them. After their town was destroyed by kaiju when they were children, childhood friends Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro both vowed to become members of the Defense Force. Mina has become famous as commander of the Defense Force’s Third Unit, but Kafka has failed the examination numerous times and is a member of the clean up crew, Monster Sweeper Inc., whose job is to dispose of the monsters’ dead bodies after battle. After a small talking monster flies into his body via his mouth, Kafka gains the ability to turn into a monster himself, which gets dubbed “Kaiju No. 8” by the Defense Force. Kafka remains fully cognizant while in the form, but gains superhuman strength, and becomes the first monster to escape the Defense Force. With newfound resolve, Kafka decides he wants to fight by Mina’s side and finally joins the Defence Force while also keeping his new abilities a secret. I really enjoy big monster fights and I like the game earth defense force which this does remind me of at times but if your into cool sick fights with big guns and big monsters you should definitely check this manga out there’s no reason not to. I’m going to give it a 8.5/10

Taking our number 4 spot is a Korean manga called Please have a meal. The manga follows a chef who has lost his ability to taste which basically causes his life to spiral since he no longer is able to enjoy the food he cooks he also basically loses his job as chef since tasting is basically needed in order to tell if what you made was good or not. Later on he find a VR game that’s actually able to recreate the five senses in game so he takes this fantasy MMO game and turns it into him finding good ingredients and cooking for himself and people. I feel like this something different to the many Isekais out there so if you want a unique premise and a good story I would recommend this manga to you I’ll give it a 7/10 I do think some people may lose interest but if your into food wars you’ll be into this for sure.

At the number 3 spot I’m going to put Reborn as a Barrier Master. I was just taking bad about isekais earlier so I thought maybe I should give you a good one to read. The story follows Kubota Tamotsu (34 years old) he has been reincarnated into another world. Moreover, as a 6 years old slave with “Level 1 Barrier” skill. To surpass his limitations and become a powerful Barrier master Kubota begins a hellish training, full of obstacles and struggles. I know the plot is kind of basic which is honestly most isekais they either have the same plot or a basic one like this but I generally enjoyed this manga while reading it there’s times I feel like manga writers deserve more credit for the world building and just how well the grasp world theories that I would never think about while writing a manga. You kind of know what to expect with isekais usually the person has a strong powerful skill or trait and they basically are Over powered since day one but I’m the kind of person who loves watching people get stronger and I feel like this does a decent job with spacing out the power increases not great but decent enough for me to see the progress. If you like isekais definitely check this one out 7.5/10

At number 2 we have I am a Hero, I am a Hero is a Japanese zombie manga series written and illustrated by Kengo Hanazawa. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits from April 2009 to February 2017, with its chapters compiled in twenty-two tankōbon volumes. The plot begins with Hideo Suzuki, a 35-year-old manga artist assistant, whose life seems to be stuck around his exhausting but low-paying job, unfulfilled dreams, strange hallucinations and unsatisfying relationships. He sees himself as a supporting character in his own life, and has low self-esteem, resulting in frustration. One day, the world as Hideo knows it is shattered by the presence of a disease (nicknamed ZQN) that turns people into homicidal maniacs who resemble and behave like zombies, and whose first instinct is to attack and devour the nearest human. Armed with only his sporting shotgun, he runs for his life, meeting strangers along the way. For a while, he and his companions struggle to stay alive, while questioning their moral choices. In the end, only three of them remain and drive all the way to the top of Mt. Fuji to be saved. This manga is so good it has 3 spin-off mangas and a live action movie under its belt. When I found this manga it was actually a recommendation for a friend and I am so thankful for it this manga is so crazy I had such a fun time reading it. If you want something that’s like the will smith movie I am legend yet it has a Japanese twist to it then this manga is definitely the one. It deals with cults, guns, and of course the infected. If you want something darker to read with a really good anime style I would definitely recommend this one 9/10 I love this manga.

Finally at number 1 we have Re:Monster. After his unfortunate death, Tomokui Kanata has been reincarnated as a member of the weakest race, a goblin named Rou. However, Rou has retained his previous life’s memories, as well as an ability that allows him to gain strength and abilities from eating. He also possesses a unique evolutionary tree. Now, Rou has made a promise to himself that he would live this life to the fullest. In this alternate world of survival of the fittest, events unfold with competent subordinates and comrades. This is one of the best isekai mangas to have come out with the recent explosion of Isekai manga. This is up there with slime and any other hood Isekai you can think of I’m honestly surprised it didn’t get an anime Adaptation yet I really think it deserves more love. If you like the main protagonist not following the norms of human society then you’ll love Rou. Since this is from the perspective of a goblin and not a human you’ll really see a different perspective of being reincarnated. This is a breathe of fresh air when it comes to the Isekai genre so if you a lover of that you’ll be a lover of this. I give this manga a 9.5/10
