We all love Pochita I mean how could you not love a cute devil dog with the characteristics of a chainsaw, but what you probably didn’t know is that Pochita resembles Makita, an actual brand of chainsaw based in Japan.

the setting of Chainsaw Man is in 1997, and Fujimoto changed the course of history in the manga. In Chainsaw Man, the Soviet Union still exists, and events like the Holocaust, AIDS and the creation of nuclear weapons cease to exist as their respective devils are no more present.

Marina Inoue, the voice actress who played the role of young Denji in the Chainsaw Man anime, also voiced Armin Arlert in Attack on Titan.

Before Denji turned into the Chainsaw Man devil hybrid, we saw him coughing blood regularly. Since his mother also died of a heart disease showing similar symptoms, it seems like Denji was supposed to meet the same fate. At least until Pochita showed up to rewrite Denji’s entire story. After turning into a devil hybrid, Denji’s body healed and wiped off this fatal disease out of existence.

The first character ever drawn for chainsaw man was actually makima. Chainsaw man also wasn’t the first manga to have makima appear in it. In one of the authors childhood fantasy works “Breath of the Stars,” had Makima as a character in it.
